Monopoly - should have had oil rigs on it
The Smoking Gun: Archive
North Carolina cops are searching for a guy who successfully passed a $200 bill bearing George W. Bush's portrait and a drawing of the White House complete with lawn signs reading "We like ice cream" and "USA deserves a tax cut." The phony Bush bill--a copy of which you'll find below--was presented to a cashier at a Food Lion in Roanoke Rapids on September 6 by an unidentified male who was seeking to pay for $150 in groceries. Remarkably, the cashier accepted the counterfeit note and gave the man $50 change.
Maybe it could have said "in Haliburton we trust"

I wish I could claim that I know more about Charlotte, NC's Stone Figs, aside from the fact this song has been stuck in my head all day.

This Machine kills pacifists
So what can I really say about these guys..... to start with I saw them at the World Famous Milestone and it was one of the best shows I've seen in an age. Folk/Punk just has a special place in my heart. Sensibility, loud, energetic, just great, its practically all I've listened to in weeks, and I'm sure the people I know wish I would shut up about just how wonderful it really was.
Head over to their Purevolume page to stream "the Husky Tenor"
Then go to to friends make records to buy it

Audrey is one of my favorite artists right now. Some of her pieces are just so amazing. Take "Yume No Ato" or "Aisai 1" for instance, the grain of the wood showing through the oils is a wonderful effect.
